The Sikikukweka hitmaker, Daddy Andre, is making headlines once again—this time for all the wrong reasons. The multi-talented producer and singer has come under fire after fellow artist Anknown accused him of unprofessional conduct and fraud.

During a candid interview on the Deep Talk Show hosted by Mr. Henry, Anknown revealed that he had entrusted Daddy Andre with UGX 1 million—money he had diligently saved in hopes of collaborating with one of his musical idols. According to Anknown, the two met and agreed on a song project. Despite industry norms where artists typically pay 50% upfront, Daddy Andre insisted on full payment before commencing work.

"I met him and we talked. He asked me for the full amount upfront," Anknown said. "Normally we deposit 50%, but we gave him the money as requested."

Unfortunately, after receiving the payment, Daddy Andre allegedly went silent and failed to deliver the promised song. The incident reportedly occurred while Daddy Andre was still working at 32 Records, a studio owned by renowned songstress Spice Diana. This was prior to Anknown's breakthrough in the Ugandan music industry.

"After paying him, he turned into Muliffe, don't run," Anknown added, using the Luganda phrase to describe how Daddy Andre began avoiding him.

The incident has sparked wider conversations in the music community, with several upcoming artists expressing concern over similar experiences with established figures. As the story continues to unfold, fans and industry stakeholders are waiting to see how Daddy Andre will respond to the allegations.
